2023-2024 Global Affairs Speaker season was exceptional. DCFR addressed a wide range of critical topics, including Climate Diplomacy with the Former Ambassador to Indonesia, Robert Blake, and U.S. Foreign Policy in Africa. These events brought together experts and our community to explore pressing global issues. We also began the year with an inspiring panel hosted by our Young Professionals Committee on the topic of Refugees and Asylum Seekers in Denver.
We concluded the 2023-2024 season with two thought-provoking events. The first was on Russia and its relationship with Western countries. The second was DCFR’s Global Engagement Award, which was presented to Richard Lackey, Chairman & CEO of the World Food Bank, in recognition of his outstanding international contributions. Additionally, the Young Professionals Committee held a Eurovision Watch Party—an exciting event that we look forward to making an annual tradition.
