Thank you for your interest in joining the DCFR community. DCFR welcomes everyone with a passion for international affairs and good conversation to join. Our diverse member community participates in in-depth, candid discussions on international issues with local relevance as well as sponsors a range of educational programs and opportunities

By becoming a DCFR member, you are making a statement of support for our efforts to promote an informed global citizenry. DCFR is almost entirely run by volunteers, and your Membership helps us put on events and support our members and community to achieve our mission of bringing awareness of international affairs and foreign policy. As a member, you will increase your global understanding and cultural intelligence, connect with other members who share an interest in the world, and expand your personal and professional networks.

General Membership allows you to attend all DCFR events, including the Global Affairs Speaker Dinners, by paying a per event fee at the time of registration

Diplomat Membership

Individual / All Inclusive

Diplomat Membership allows you access to all 8 Global Affairs Speaker Series Dinners, which means to register for an event you pay nothing.
Hastle-free event experience - just sign up and mark your calendar!
An additional perk, is that Diplomats can bring the same guest to the Global Affairs Dinners as many times as they like at the $65 rate, waiving the requirement that all guests attending more than two events need apply for membership.

Young Professionals Membership

Individual / A La Cart

A young professional is anyone under the age of 40 who is not a current student
A Young Professional Membership allows you to attend all DCFR events, including the Global Affairs Speaker Dinenrs, by paying a per-event fee at the time of registration
Opportunities for free events such as Young Professional networking and happy hours!
* YPs can bring the same guest to two Global Affairs Dinners at the $65 rate, prior to becoming a member.

Ambassador Membership

Institutional Membership

An institution is any business entity, academic establishment, or non-governmental organization
Institutional Member can appoint an Institutional Representative to attend events
Institutional Representatives are welcome to bring two guests to the Global Affairs Speaker Series Dinners, free of charge
Recognition on website to include organization logo and overview

* Guest Policy

We are delighted that you would like to bring guests to our Global Affairs Dinners! Please note that per our policy, unless you are at the Diplomat level or above, we ask that a guest who has attended 2+ of our Dinners consider becoming a member.
DCFR is almost entirely run by volunteers, and your Membership helps us put on events and support our members and community to achieve our mission of bringing awareness of international affairs and foreign policy.

** Membership Eligibility

To be eligible for DCFR membership, a person must be 18 years-old.
A person under 18 years-old is welcome to attend DCFR events so long as they are accompanied by an adult who is responsible for them.
The DCC and other venues do not serve alcohol to persons under 21 years-old, per state law.
